Privacy policy

Effective date: October 7, 2026 (updated)

This policy explains how Strickle ("we", "us") collects, uses and shares personal information when you visit stricklekitchen.com, contact us or buy from us.

What we collect

  • Contact and order details: your name, email, phone number, shipping and billing address, what you bought, and your order and refund history.
  • Payment status. Our payment providers handle your card details. We never see your full card number.
  • Messages and photos you send us.
  • Device and browsing details: your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view, what you add to your cart, how you reached us (for example, from a search, a link or an ad) and your cookie choices.
  • Your email choices, if you choose to get our emails or ask us to tell you when the sharpener is back in stock.

We get this information from you, from your device through cookies and similar tools, and from the services that run our store.

How we use it

  • To take, ship and track your order, and to handle refunds and questions.
  • To keep the store and checkout safe and to stop fraud.
  • To keep business, tax and accounting records.
  • To send emails. Order and shipping emails are part of your order. We send marketing emails only if you ask for them, and every one has an unsubscribe link.
  • To measure our ads and show them to people who may like the sharpener (see "Ads on Facebook and Instagram").
  • To see how people find and use the store, so we can fix and improve it.

Where the law asks for a legal reason, we use your information to carry out your order, to meet legal duties, for our interest in a safe and working store and in measuring our ads (where the law allows this), and with your consent for marketing emails and optional cookies.

Who we share it with

  • Shopify runs our store and checkout. Shopify may also combine information from our store with information from other stores to provide its own services, such as personalized shopping, store improvements and ads. Read Shopify's Consumer Privacy Policy at shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers or use its privacy portal at privacy.shopify.com.
  • Payment providers shown at checkout, to take payments and send refunds.
  • Our fulfillment partner receives your name, shipping address, phone, email and order details to pack and ship your order and give tracking.
  • The delivery carrier receives your name, address and phone to deliver your parcel.
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), as explained below.
  • Our email service, to receive and answer your emails.
  • Loox sends review requests after delivery and shows product reviews on the store. It receives your name, email address and order details for this purpose, and the review, photos or videos you choose to send. The Loox privacy policy explains its processing.
  • Officials or others when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone's safety.

We don't sell your personal information for money.

Ads on Facebook and Instagram

We advertise on Facebook and Instagram. We use Meta's pixel and Conversions API through Shopify's Facebook & Instagram app. When you visit our store, view the sharpener, add it to your cart, check out or buy, Meta can receive the pages you view, the items and order value, your IP address and device details, and details you enter at checkout, such as your name, email, phone and location.

Third parties, including Meta, may use cookies, pixels and similar tools to collect information from our store and from other websites across the internet. They use it to measure ads, choose who sees them and deliver them. Meta uses this information under its own Privacy Policy at facebook.com/privacy/policy.

Under some US state laws, this may count as "sharing" personal information or "targeted advertising". You can opt out in any of these ways:

  • Choose Your privacy choices at the bottom of any page.
  • Email us at hello@stricklekitchen.com.
  • Use aboutads.info/choices (US) or youronlinechoices.eu (Europe).
  • Change your ad settings in your Facebook or Instagram account.

Cookies

Cookies are small files your browser saves. Cookies we need run the cart, checkout, security and your saved choices. Shopify also uses cookies for store statistics. With your permission where it is needed, Shopify and Meta also use cookies for statistics and ads. Meta's pixel cookies (_fbp and _fbc) last about 90 days. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, but the cart may stop working.

"Do Not Track"

There is no common standard for browser "Do Not Track" signals, so our store doesn't respond to them.

How long we keep it

  • Order and refund records: as long as tax and accounting rules require.
  • Messages: until your question and any related order issue are closed.
  • Email signups: while you stay subscribed. After you unsubscribe, we keep only what we need to respect that choice.
  • Browsing details: as long as the cookie or tool lasts (Meta's pixel cookies, about 90 days).

After that, we delete the information or remove anything that identifies you, as far as the law and our providers' backups allow.

Your choices and rights

Depending on where you live, you can ask us to:

  • show you the personal information we have about you,
  • correct it,
  • delete it,
  • send you a copy,
  • stop using it for targeted ads or marketing, or
  • withdraw a consent you gave.

To review or change your information, or to make any of these requests, email hello@stricklekitchen.com. We may ask for details such as your order number to confirm it's you. Someone you authorize can ask for you. We answer within the time the law sets. If we say no, reply to ask us to look again, and we will explain the result. You can also complain to a data protection authority or your state attorney general. We won't treat you differently for using your rights.

Children

Our store is for adults. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, email us and we will delete it.

Where information is kept

Shopify, Meta and our other providers may store and process information in the US and in other countries.

Changes

If we change this policy, we post the new version here with a new effective date. If the change is important, we also tell customers by email or with a notice on the store.
